note date of this post. I was still experimenting here, but using own self made variegated yarn has become an essential part of teaching Latch Hook Crochet. Kids can see what is happening in their work better and also young ones enjoy the next colour yarn coming up!! Variegated yarn (2017 !)

This is an example of a scrumble jumble.(now a latch patch) Using easy stitches, chain, slip stitch, and puff stitch.(puff stitch introduced in book two)It is not intended to be a work of art, more of a way of learning Freeform for absolute beginners. I have been looking at using variegated yarn because it is easier to see what is happening. In this first trial I used mostly lengths of yarn about 18 inches long. I think longer would be better.
